Hospice at Home provides vital end of life care, day and night, to patients in their own homes.

The support of our team means that patients are able to spend their last days in the comfort of their home, knowing that everything possible will be done to help them die peacefully and with dignity.

Due to limited funding, each night the team is unable to provide care to one in three people referred to them, whose choice it is to remain at home. Difficult decisions have to be made every day, as to which patients and families need our support more, that day or night.

It costs £472 to fund one night of Hospice at Home care for each patient. With the generous help of our supporters we want to fund 200 additional episodes of this vital specialist care over the next year, so we can be there for more families and patients who need us in Cambridgeshire.

Help Us Be There - October 2020 update

In October we were delighted to confirm that we had secured funding from the Clinical Commissioning Group for Cambridge and Peterborough (CCG) which would allow us to fund both day and night Hospice at Home.  This significant development is a wonderful illustration of the importance of what was historically a purley night-time service.  We are delighted that by raising awareness of this unmet need, we can now reach more people, day and night across the County. We recognise that whilst funding has been received, we still need your support.  We will require additional funding to supplement this exciting development so please do continue to give what you can.  For those who have already given to the appeal we'd like to say a huge thank you and assure you your funds will still be needed for our night-time service, whilst anyone who wishes to support this service moving forward will be able to support the day and night service.

Thank you for helping us to raise our first £100,000 (15 May 2019 to 31 March 2020)
How are we getting on this year?
