Fordy's Cambridge Half Marathon
Matthew Ford
My Story
8 Years ago I lost a friend to Cancer. He was my closest childhood friend growing up and Best Man when I got married in 2000.
Ed Hallam was looked after by the Arthur Rank, I visited him there in his final few weeks and saw how well he was cared for by the team. Ed dedciated his life to Strength and Conditioning, and the Cambridge half is not only in our home town and around the streets we grew up on, but a feat of fitness and endurance and also falls just a few days short of what would be his 48th birthday.
I'm not a regular runner, certainly not at this distance so the training here has been pretty much couch to 22k. I'm running with Ed's name on my shirt and with his words of encouragement behind me
